Box stores typically do not have HVAC technicians on staff or anyone else that's knowledgeable to turn to with installation questions, problems, troubleshooting, and if you need a warranty repair you will have to remove the unit and send it to a factory authorized dealer, who will not be motivated to repair it quickly.
