Box stores typically do not have HVAC technicians on staff or anyone else that’s knowledgeable to turn to with installation questions, problems, troubleshooting, and if you need a warranty repair you will have to remove the unit and send it to a factory authorized dealer, who will not be motivated to repair it quickly.
If you by from a local dealer, and we have numerous dealers world wide, you will pay a bit more but will have all the professional assistance needed for all of the above situations, and the dealer will typically be able to make warranty repairs on the vessel.
